Grayson County has set up a Hurricane Helene Relief Fund specifically to help local residents. If you would like to donate, please send a check made payable to GC Emergency Relief Fund, PO Box 217, Independence, VA 24348 noting in the memo line "Hurricane Helene Relief". An account has been established to prioritize and distribute donations once received.

FEMA does not take donations and/or food from survivors or voluntary organizations. Donations of food, water, or other goods are handled by voluntary agencies who specialize in storing, sorting, cleaning & distributing donated items. FEMA does not conduct vehicle stops or handle road closures with armed guards - those are done by local law enforcement."

Economic Development Authority (EDA)

EDA Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024 at 4pm has been cancelled.

EDA meeting scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 at 4pm has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024 at 4pm due to the holidays.

Mission: “The Grayson County Economic Development Authority is dedicated to utilizing every resource available to provide the highest level of assistance to new and existing businesses and industries in order to encourage capital investments, diversify and stabilize the economy, retain and foster new employment opportunities, and support an environment conducive for citizen prosperity”.

Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month in the Grayson County Boardroom
